The following are excerpts from Pray for China email list:

  5. Pray for more believers and workers to support rural churches - Beijing public school will accept 20,000 children of migrant workers this year, without having to pay more fees than permanent residents. Rural churches face the crisis of losing more young families seeking work in the cities. This trend makes the churches even less educated, older and more female. Let us pray for many churches started by Wenzhou believers specifically reaching out to the rural believers in the cities.
  6. Pray for divine wisdom for national leaders of China, U.S and Taiwan - China, US and Taiwan all held exercise in the Taiwan Strait. Taiwan fighter jets practiced landing on highway for the possible bombing of airbases, a drill not held in 26 years. With the elevation of tension and confrontational rhetoric, again we pray for divine wisdom of the national leaders and especially for the revival of the 1 million believers and 4700 churches on the island.
  7. Pray for people who are affected by major flooding in china - Major flooding along the tributaries of Yantze River, following a series of unusual storms, affecting 45 million people and caused 381 deaths so far. Hunan, Yunnan, Henan, Hubei suffer the most. We remember specially the church planting efforts and leadership trainings in these provinces. Several churches have baptized hundred of new believers at one time. We too pray for the growth of these new believers.
  8. Pray for purity of young believers with access to Internet - Government cracks down on pornographic websites, with 700 sites shut down and 100 arrested. In Haiko, Hainan, teenagers have visited porn sites. 15 millions Chinese youth are online. We pray specially for the purity of young believers and the churches here, which has come under infiltration of Eastern Lightening in the past year.
