Prayer List of April, 2004
-
Pray for CCYF's evangelical efforts - CCYF is located in uptown
Manhattan area where there are few Chinese churches. There are many
Chinese students, exchange scholars and their families living nearby.
Let's pray the Lord use us as a vessel to preach Gospel to them.
-
Pray for QFL - From 5/28 to 5/31 Rutgers Church will host its
11th Quest For Life Gospel Camp. Many of us have joined this camp and
come to know God. Now is the great chance to invite your friends/family
to participate! Details and registration info can be found at

-
Pray for brothers/sisters in job search - Most of us have
experienced the anxious waiting during a job search. Please pray for
our brothers/sisters in fellowship who are in this process. May the
Lord grant them the peace, patience and wisdom needed to succeed.
-
Pray for next Chairperson and new coworkers - CCYF needs
brothers/sisters to step up and serve our Lord in unity. May the
Lord give us the burden to take these positions in our fellowship.
Also pray for coworker's family whose faithful support are critical
to our coworkers.
-
Pray for brother JianZhou - Let's pray for our dear brother
JianZhou who often travels between U.S and from China. May the Lord
greatly utilize him to evangelize. Pray that God also provides him
and his family abundantly.
The following are excerpts from Pray for China email list:
-
Pray for unemployed workers and shortage of well-trained pastors
- Premier Wen Jiabao expects to keep the economic running stable while
preventing the wheels from becoming too hot. He pledged to create 9
million jobs for urban residents and get 5 million laid-off workers
re-employed. Let us remember all those who are unemployed. Again, we
covet your prayers for the shortage of well-trained pastors to fill
nearly 2/3 of the churches
-
Pray for visa application process of Chinese students and campus
ministry - China has shut down the phone company running the US
Consulate's visa information center because of complaints of
overcharging. It means no longer scheduling visa interviews anywhere
in China. The call center services up to 10,000 calls a week. It's
about time for students who have received US school admission to apply
for visas. We pray for the student ministry among campuses in North
America and that God will grant intelligence and diligence to Chinese
and U.S. officials to resolve the differences
-
Pray for the stand against homosexuality of Taiwan churches and
their revival - A Presbyterian minister has become Taiwan's first
openly gay Christian pastor. Tseng Shu-min was ordained a minister in
the general assembly of the Presbyterian Church last week.
Homosexuality is still a growing issue among churches and society. Let
us diligently pray for churches in Taiwan, for their revival, their
stand and outreach to the gay.
