Prayer List of March, 2004
-
Pray for CCYF's coworkers and new brothers/sisters - Pray to the
Lord for more coworkers and more spiritual growth of our group. Also
we give thanks to Him for Xie Dan and Miaomiao (brother Wei Dong's wife),
both of them will be baptized in April. All heaven and earth will
rejoice!
-
Pray for QFL - QFL stands for Quest For Life, an annual Gospel
Conference for all eastern states. Many CCYF brothers/sisters have
attended this conference and started to know about truth. Please start
to pray for this year's and pray for the hearts of seekers.
-
Pray for brothers/sisters in job search - Most of us have
experienced the anxious waiting during a job search. Please pray for
our brothers/sisters in fellowship who are in this process. May the
Lord grant them the peace, patience and wisdom needed to succeed.
-
Pray for Brother Jianzhou's trip to China - This time brother
Jianzhou may have the opportunity to meet with high ranking officials.
We pray for His divine guidance. May the Lord greatly use brother
Jianzhou to open up another gate for the spread of gospel.
-
Pray for next chairperson - May the Lord move the heart of
brother/sister who will take the initiative and responsibility to
function as CCYF's next chairperson.
-
Pray for coworker's family - While brothers/sisters serve in
church/fellowship, their families play a critical role in support.
May the Lord greatly bless and strengthen each coworker's family.
The following are excerpts from Pray for China email list:
-
Pray for the revival of Chinese churches in Korea - Korea
churches have sent 12,000 missionaries, many to China. With nearly
200,000 Chinese in Korea, there are only a handful of smaller Chinese
churches. Korea is also a favorite and strategic place for training of
Chinese pastors and China-bound missionaries. Let us pray specially
for the revival of Chinese churches and their outreach effort.
-
Pray for spirituality of Northwest China and less destruction from
sand storm in that area - Sand storm blinded 11 northern provinces,
affecting 70 million people. Visibility was hampered in 304 cities.
A dry season and destruction of forests aggravate this perennial
problem. The expansive scale of this climatic phenomenon is hard to
imagine. Northwest China is considered as hard soil spiritually. Let us
pray for the mighty wind of Holy Spirit across northern China
-
Pray for believers to stand firm against idol worship during Qingming
Festival - Sunday is Qingming Festival, the traditional Memorial
Day. The practices of incense burning, gravesite offering are back in
fashion. Temple and ancestral worship are deeply rooted and considered
as the sign of filial piety. Let us pray for all believers who abstain
from this practice and face opposition from their unbelieving families.
-
Pray for more ministry done for migrant workers and their family
- Government removes all surcharges levied on migrant worker's children
attending urban schools, effective immediately. Few can afford these
discriminatory fees. This will definitely encourage more migration to
cities. We pray for several churches in Shanghai suburbs catering
specially for believers who came from villages to cities for work.
