Prayer List of February, 2004
-
Pray for CCYF's Gospel efforts and spiritual growth - To preach
the Gospel and foster spiritual growth have always been CCYF's main
objective. We pray that the Lord guide us and motivate us to achieve
in both areas.
-
Pray for upcoming Gospel conference - Dr. Liang from Canada will
be speaking on 3/13/04 in a gospel conference. We will send flyers to
churches in New York. Let's pray that all churches can work together
for the spread of gospel, and pray for our speaker and coworkers.
-
Pray for MCMCC - Please pray for the upcoming MCMCC retreat on
3/20, in which GraceSpring will be the coordinator. May the Lord grant
wisdom and love to all who participate and bless the preparation work.
-
Pray for Brother Jianzhou's trip to China - This time brother
Jianzhou may have the opportunity to meet with high ranking officials.
We pray for His divine guidance. May the Lord greatly use brother
Jianzhou to open up another gate for the spread of gospel.
-
Pray for sharing our belief - A new movie "The Passion for
Christ" is coming out soon. This could be an opportunity to share our
belief with our friends/families who have not yet known Christ. May
the Spirit prepare the hearts of many.
-
Pray for next Chairperson - May the Lord move the heart of
brother/sister who will take the initiative and responsibility to
function as CCYF's next chairperson.
-
Pray for coworker's family - While brothers/sisters serve in
church/fellowship, their families play a critical role in support.
May the Lord greatly bless and strengthen each coworker's family.
The following are excerpts from Pray for China email list:
-
Pray for Aids orphans and their salvation - In the AIDS ravaged
villages in Henan, there are 2026 orphans. The provincial government
decides to build one new school in every AIDS villages to provide free
schooling for them. AIDS orphans are mostly adopted by their extended
families, face severe social stigma. We pray for believers who will
show the compassionate of Christ to them.
-
Pray for workers in rural churches - China now has the widest
wealth gap between urban and rural citizens. The earning ratio is now
3 to 1. After the health and education expense, farmers expendable
income is only 1/6 of the city. Nearly 3/4 of House churches are rural
while TSPM is mostly urban. Let us pray for this disparity and the
desperate situation of young church workers leaving for cities.
-
Pray for believer's marriage - UN says China faces 3 major
hurdles, AIDS epidemic, environment and widening gender gap. Male to
female births is nearly 5:4, which will destabilize the society in the
coming decades. Female outnumbers male, 3:1 in churches. Finding a
Christian mate is difficult. We remember those marriages which face
great hurdle because of their spouse is not a believer.
