Prayer List of December, 2003

  1. Urgent prayer for Sister Wendy Wong's father - Some of us knew sister Wendy through Sisters Retreat. She just emailed us that doctor shows her father has liver failure and it's likely that he might not live more than six months. Please urgently pray that the Lord sustain Wendy's father in spirit and body, and to bless her family to with strength and patience to go through.
  2. Pray for CCYF's Christmas Gathering - May the Lord bless all brothers/sisters and friends at this joyous occasion, and may this be the time new comers come to know Him.
  3. A new sister for CCYF - Praise the Lord, brother Weidong's wife has received Visa to U.S. We will meet her shortly, let's praise the Lord for His wonderful blessings on brother WeiDong!
  4. Pray for brother JinCheng's career - Please pray the Lord leads brother Jin Cheng for a new career.
  5. Pray for more coworkers and new comers - Pray that the Lord use CCYF more as an instrument to preach Gospel; pray that HE lead more coworker and new comers to join our group.

The following are excerpts from Pray for China email list:

  6. Pray for leaders in China and Taiwan - Hong Kong News reports that Beijing had arrested many Taiwan spies, mostly businessmen. They have been accused of revealing secrets regarding the 496 ballistic issues aimed at Taiwan. Taipei will proceed with March 20th national Referendum calling Beijing to withdraw these weapons. We pray for the leaders on both sides and also the Christians in custody and jail because of their belief in Christ.
  7. Pray for expatriates in China - China considers Dual Citizenship and Green Card system. 80% of foreign-trained Chinese wish to return to start business; more than half want to settle in Beijing. Beijing area alone has 40,000 expatriates. There are many fellowships or churches formed by the expatriates. We pray for their spiritual growth, their witness and the adjustment their families face.
  8. Pray for holiness of believers - The period between the New Year and Chinese New Year (Jan 22nd) is the busiest gift-giving time. It nearly always involves kickback, bribery or using of government fund. "No gift, no business" Let us again pray for believers who face temptation and compromise in their business dealings. The greatest gift is Jesus. Let us pray for all the churches celebrating Christmas.
