Prayer List of September, 2003

  1. Let's pray together for fall retreat promotion efforts, so that more seekers can join this retreat and discover the truth; may the Lord bless each of us as we call/email to invite people.
  2. Special prayer for May's mother who is recovering from a minor stroke; pray for the Lord's love and faithfulness so that she can be healed completely soon;
  3. Thanks the Lord for providing GraceSpring with a place for its 2nd Anniversary meeting; now may His spirit prepares the hearts of brothers/sisters in preparation.
  4. Please pray for Family churches in China and their evangelical efforts. Also please pray for brother JianZhou Zhang, Steven, Chaoming, and sister Phoebe in His service; Also bless Jin cheng's father-in-law and brother Xian Dan who is traveling in China.

    The following are excerpts from Pray for China email list:

  5. Government says China is becoming superstitious again. 1 in 5 believes in fate and 40% consider fortune-telling valuable. Fortune telling is legal and many are turning to it for spiritual guidance. Again, we pray for the changing of hearts to the Good News of Jesus Christ, which provides directions for this life and the future.
  6. 9-28 is Teachers' Day, in memory of Confucius' birthday. As a profession, teachers are one of the most respected in Chinese societies. However, recently, exorbitant and arbitrary fees in the secondary schools have become a major issue for the educators. It is illegal to hold religious education. We remember the desperate need for teachers and training in all churches to teach the children Bible lessons.
  7. Sharing of dorm with 3 other students in a typically tiny 8-square-metre room is unfortunately, very stressful. Educators point to the lack of learning to share in the One-child policy generation. Reaching out to young college students who are eager to learn English provides good opportunity for evangelism. We pray for solid fruits from this ministry.
