The following are excerpts from Pray for China email list:
-
Beijing will lead the 6 nations' conference to resolve the nuclear
crisis in the Korean Peninsula. China is the only country that is
able to mediate this thorny issue. We pray for peace in this entire
region. We too remember the missionary effort of South Korean
churches throughout China.
-
2 out of 3 factory workers in the cities are from the farms. This
presented a great shift in the population. Farmers seek better life
in the city, which on the average pay up to 4 times. Young believers
also flock to urban centers, leaving the older and women in most
rural churches. Let us pray for the needs of young church workers.
-
The Ninth National Women's Congress of China was opened in Beijing.
Women are asked to continue their economics contribution to their
families. This is the land where stay-at-home mom is not the norm.
Women are majority in Chinese churches. We pray specifically
for the women shepherds and all the women church leadership.
