Dear Friends:

Greeting in Lord's name and may peace and joy be with you in the new year - 1999.

As each of us, 1999 would be a challenge year to us as one body - CCYF. CCYF is well-positioned to reach out to many lost spirits, especially mainland students , scholars, and professionals. For the past 7 years, CCYF has reached many of them and served them without asking financial contribution from them. Many of our co-workers just like you, fully understand that asking contribution from truth-seekers (especially Mainlanders who had bad experience) sometimes may lead to unnecessary misunderstanding. This is why CCYF have minimized its fund-raising effort and trusted in the Lord that God will provide through contribution from Christians without any sorts of pressure. We thank God that He has blessed many of us so that they can donate generously so others can come to CCYF without any contribution pressure.

This is the first time and we prepare a message relating to our fiscal status. As you know, our Fellowship is not funded by any organization and is solely based on support from people like you. Our staff members served in CCYF without any forms of payment. As matter of fact, most CCYF's contribution has come from those served in CCYF. But God's intention is that all of us should serve as a team, and that is why we really prefer to have you involved. You can serve with us by giving back God's blessing to CCYF. We would like to suggest that true Christians who has come to CCYF more than 3 times and never contributed to CCYF before to put our financial needs in your prayers, and considering breaking the ice this year. The following summary is prepared to help you understand the financial need of our Fellowship and what contribution you may render to support our Fellowship and the work of gospel.

FYI, your contribution to CCYF is tax-exempt.

Thank you for your love to CCYF.

In HIS Service, Chinese Christian Youth Fellowship, Inc.

CCYF's Finacial Needs in 1999

1. Fellowship's operation:

On average, our Fellowship needs $200/month to cover expenses and to maintain the operation. This includes speaker fees, assistance for truth-seekers who cannot (or forget to) pay their CCYF dinner and retreat cost. Recently we also reserved a web site for CCYF. It costs about $30 a month. For a preview of the site see http://www.ccyf-ny.org. This site will benefit all of us as we can get CCYF information and schedules on line. We will inform you the official site in other mail soon.

2. Gospel Material

Last year, we ordered 30 copies (180 issues) of "Overseas Campus" and don't have surplus on hand. We also ordered 100 copies books including "Know the Truth", "Science and Faith" and "Song of a Prodigal" and almost run out of stock within 4 months. We distribute these magazines and books to non-believers, and it has been proved that they are extremely helpful for students and intellectuals from Mainland to understand Gospel and Christianity. You could contribute to our Fellowship specifically to order more materials like these.

"Overseas Campus": Issued bimonthly, $15.00 per prescription a year.

"Know the Truth": $1.00/each. This is the book that has perhaps been used by God to help bring more Mainland Chinese to Christ in North America than any other besides the Bible.

"Science and Faith": $1.50/each. It is suitable for those who are very good in sciences, or are very logical thinkers.

"Song of a Prodigal" (You2 Zi3 Yin2): $1.35/each. This is a very scholarly and perhaps the best book available for critical mind.

3. Missionaries' Fund

This fund is established to support missionaries who are directly related to our Fellowship. Currently this fund are supporting:

a. Lee Tai-ying Sister Lee Tai-ying is a coworker from Ambassador for Christ. She has been in our Fellowship since 1996. She gave our Fellowship a lot of help in teaching, and is also a close consultant of us. Her address is: 150 W. 96th Street, #12C, New York, NY 10025 Tel: 212-749-2854

b. Li Zhong-min Sister Li Zhong-min was a regular attendant of our Fellowship for many years. She determined to dedicate herself to Gospel in 1997 and is currently a full-time student in Trinity Seminary of Chicago.

c. Li Ling Brother Li Ling was formerly a lecturer in Philosophy in Each China Normal University, he just finished his study in Naiya College. 1/1/98, he started his full-time service in Great Commission Center International and will concentrate his work on Chinese in North America. His annual salary is $30,084. However, he has to raise 75% of his salary by himself from contributors like you. Our Fellowship has set up a fund specifically for Li Ling with the goal of $3000 by the end of 1999. We have received $100 up to now. His address is : Great Commission Center International 769 Orchid Hill Lane, Argyle (Copper Canyon), TX 76226 Tel (940)455-2205
