Accommodating individuals as well as large groups alike, the hostel offers seven bunkrooms and two lofts with a total of 40 beds. Family Rooms and Private Rooms are available. The bunkrooms are located on a second story balcony which overlooks the 57 foot long dining and indoor recreation hall.
Only two hours from New York City and Philadelphia, Hostelling International-Poconos is a charming, rustic lodge set in the woods by a gently rolling stream. Tobyhanna and Promised Land State Parks are nearby for recreational activities. You can visit the Everhart Museum, the kelley Car Museum, or experience the Lackawanna Coal Mine Tour. The Steamtown National Historic Site, featuring steam locomotives and a museum complex, will introduce you to America's railroading heritage.
You can also experience downhill/cross country skiing, boating, hiking, fall foliage, or just relax in the great outdoors.
Take Interstate 80 West from the Delaware Water Gap approximately 17 miles to Route 380 West. Take Route 380 West approximately 6 miles to Route 423 North (Exit 7 - Tobyhanna). Take Route 423 North 8 miles to Route 191 South. Take Route 191 South 3/10s of a mile to LaAnna Rd. and turn right (there is a sign that reads Pike County; Village of LaAnna; and Hostelling International just prior ro LaAnna Road). Make the first left into the hostel driveway.
