Dear brothers, sisters and friends:
It is with a heavy heart that we are writing this letter to you. As we all knew, Sept. 11th was a day of great tragedy. Many people have lost their loved ones: spouses, parents, brothers, sisters, and friends. It is impossible to describe with words the pain and suffering they have been experiencing. Besides the loss of life, many people have lost their companies, jobs, and sense of security. We have listed below all the victims who are known to CCYF members.
For the past 2 weeks, we have shown our sympathy and caring towards all the victims in the hundreds of emails posted in CCYF's eGroup. Many members have spent hours to pray for those who had suffered. Though we are still recovering from the trauma caused by the attack, we all agree that, besides the prayer, we also need to offer our help to the victims who are still suffering now.
CCYF has established a special fund, CCYF 911 Caring Fund, to help the victims. We sincerely ask you to donate to the fund. No amount is too small to give.
CCYF is a non-profit charitable organization. We will not charge overhead cost. We guarantee that all the donation will be used to help the victims and their relatives. The donation can be made to either a particular victim's family or to the general CCYF 911 Caring Fund. The fund will be used by CCYF to carry out all kinds of charitable activities such as buying food and flower for the suffering families, arranging funeral and memorial services for the victims, buying sympathy gifts to victims' children, etc. To donate to a particular family, please specify on the check memo the victim's name. Otherwise it will be put into CCYF 911 Caring Fund.
To make a donation, simply send a check (payable to CCYF) with memo to the following address:
CCYF c/o Weiqiang Fang
16 Homestead Way
Rockaway, NJ 07866
You can also give or send the checks in person to other CCYF coworkers whom you know. Our cutoff date for this collection is 10/31/01. After all checks are collected, we will send to each individual a tax deductible form with the amount of contribution. We will also compile a list for all the donation amounts we have given out and the names of the victims' families or their representatives who have received the donation.
Thank you in advance for your kindness. If you have any question, please feel free to contact us.
God Bless !
Weiqiang Fang and Daniel Lin

**Wang, WeiBin**
Ph.D '94 Columbia Univ. Senior
Analyst. Please see attached file for more
information about him and his family.
WeiBin and I used to report to the same professor from 89-90 at Columbia. I shared Christianity with him and he received a Chinese-English bible from me once. He was a quite, shy and hard-working mainland Chinese intellectual. (Weiqiang Fang)
Twelve days ago, Weibin left two pots of chicken and preserved eggs on the stove for his wife and children and went to work. He never came back. He was a very thin, tall, and shy guy with 2 big eyes like a panda. He didn't talk much. But he did a lot for his family. Shi Wen said he never got a chance to enjoy life. (Di Yang)
**Lin, WeiRong**
Lawyer and Accountant.
I recall he became a Christian when he was in Shanghai before he came to NYC for his college study. He has a bachelor's degree in accountant from Baruch College. I had shared with him personally for a few hours during his stay in CCYF from 1993 to 1995. Many old CCYF friends like Guanyuan, Chaoming, ZhouWei all remember him. Since no CCYF members know his wife in person, we have not been able to provide direct help yet. I just called his home. I was told he was still listed as missing. Media reported that he had two twin children. (See World Journal for detailed information.)
**Michael Liming Gu**
He had a Master's degree from US
and worked at March McLennan as Assistant Vice
President
(95th floor, 1 WTC). Resident of NJ, Married and had
one 21-month son. He is still listed as missing. His
wife is Jean Liu, who is known to Yang Di through her
husband.
Jean Liu is also a graduate from Teacher College and
B-school of Columbia.
**Victims Alive**
Mei's eldest sister's family live in downtown. At this moment they still do not have phone connection. The husband is facing lay-off while the family is recovering. He just got his job in Blue Cross in WTC. He had been laid off once before. His new WTC job is very important to him, not only because this is the only income source for the family, but also because it is the hope for the self-esteem of their daughter. When the plane hit the tower, he was on the 2nd floor. Because he cared about his job very much, he went up to the 30th or more floor to get permission from the higher management. After he had verified with the boss, the situation became much worse. He finally got out. But he couldn't walk well for a few days because he had been severely frightened. Now Blue Cross has lost its whole Dept. in NYC. His company will only relocate small number of NYC employees to Albany. Their daughter, a 14-year-old middle-school student saw the airplane flying into the building his father was working. Her school now become a store for rescue workers. (Weiqiang Fang)
